Privacy Policy

Detailing Hub ("we", "us") runs a car detailing shop in Calgary, Alberta. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). This policy explains what we collect through this website and why.

What we collect

• When you book: your name, email, phone number, vehicle (year, make, model and size), the service and add-ons you chose, your drop-off time and any notes you add.
• When you send a message: your name, email, optional phone number and your message.
• Technical information: your IP address and browser details, used to block spam and keep the site secure.

We do not collect payment details online. You pay at the shop when you pick up your vehicle.

How we use it

• To schedule and carry out your detail, and to contact you about it.
• To send your booking confirmation and answer your messages.
• To prevent spam and abuse of our booking and contact forms.
• To understand, in aggregate, how people use the site, if analytics are enabled (see below).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for marketing emails.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to run the site. They process data for us and only as needed to provide their service:

• Supabase stores bookings.
• Resend sends booking confirmations and forwards contact messages.
• Cloudflare Turnstile checks that forms are filled in by people, not bots.
• Google Maps shows our location on the map.
• Google Analytics, when enabled, measures site visits using cookies.
• Our hosting provider serves the website and keeps standard server logs.

Vehicle model lists come from the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Only the year and make you pick are sent, never your personal details.

Some of these providers may store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.

Cookies and local storage

To make your next booking faster, your browser remembers your name, email and phone number on your device after you book. You can clear this at any time in your browser settings. If analytics are enabled, Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records as long as we need them to provide our services and meet our legal and tax obligations, then delete them. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to answer them.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent and ask us to delete it, unless we have to keep it by law.
